Seattle Christmas

The kids and I headed up to Seattle with Aunt Sarah in tow a week earlier than Brannon.  This was so .  .  .

 we could be pampered,
ride around the track in Grandpa's front yard with Uncle Kyle for hours every morning,
 hang out with cousin Keaton,

be told custom bed time stories for hours by Buelo and Buela,
 receive fun surprises,
 get LOTS of attention,
and head to "The Lights of Christmas" at Warm Beach, with the whole Hawkins clan and the Garcias.  It began to feel a lot like Christmas (cause, no offense Cali, but ya just don't get in the spirit like "Christmas in the Northwest (hahahahaha)).
Quick stop at Red Robin to get some killer ranch dip (they just don't make it that good other places!)
 Naya and Belize REUNITE!

 Nana leads the masses.

They called this, "Pony" rides.  Pretty sure that's the biggest pony I have ever seen.

Rio was NOT a fan of Bruce the talking Spruce but the girls thought he was hilarious.
Ashley, Belize, Alicia, Sarah, Mom and what are you doing Chaz?

Uncle Darren did a good job of keeping Mayan snuggly warm.

Belize got to pick out one of Alicia's old dance costumes- she was in HEAVEN!!!

My dear friend, Kristen sent me these pictures taken last summer that were floating around her computer.  What sweet memories!

A Christmas present I forgot

It might take awhile to post ALL of the pictures from December (sorry I am such a slacker but its been a crazy month). However I will leave you with a sweet taste of things to come. A while ago the kids wanted to make a video as their present for our extended family. Well, in the bustle of things it got forgotten until now so without further a due . . .

November Wrap-up

November ended with making some wonderful memories.  Mayan makes a new face now, she likes to purse her lips.  She's found her hands and likes to look at them and reach to touch toys.  Her torticollis is less noticeable although she still favors turning left (we are working on becoming an "ambi-turner).  She gives the best whole-body smiles when I reach inside the crib after nighttime or a nap, I'm going to try and get it on video.  She is still sleeping 10 hours a night.  Not many smiling pictures because everytime I whip out the camera, she becomes more interested in the camera.  Still no repeats on the giggle.
We trekked up to our "other paradise" (cause you all know that ACTUAL paradise involves heat, palm trees and an ocean breeze), Mt. Baldy for a snow "hike", the kids didn't even make it half a mile, so now they are Anti-hike. but we did have a fun time making snow angels, throwing snowballs, and skidding on our knees.

For Thanksgiving we headed to St. George, Utah.  We mooched off of the Olsens Thanksgiving Feast (Belize had a grand time playing with Ashley Olsen (mostly "war") and then hung out with the Hurricane Gregg clan.  We had fun with Tavin and Traysen at the sand dunes.  We went swimming, Black friday shopping and had a terrible family breakfast (picture a restaurant, both children melting down and bad food).

(the picture below is Belize in January 2007, around the same age).
